Summer Fun Day 39 - Sun (or Hot Weather) Melted Crayon Fireworks

We decided if 90 something degree weather is hot enough to melt chocolate bars and marshmallows...

...it might also be hot enough to melt crayon shaving "fireworks"...

...on top of night sky colored papers...

...taped down and left out in the heat.

It's great to be a homeschooler.

Neat idea! When we get some nice hot, sunny weather I'm sure my daughter will want to try that!

What an awesome project for Independence Day. I might do it tomorrow morning while we are killing time waiting for our street party to begin.

That would be fun, we've gotten a "cold front," and it's been in the 80s the past couple of days. It's rather confusing.

How did the pics turn out? This would have been impossible for us to do on the 4th, since we were experiencing flash flooding all weekend...blech!
